I’m Caroline Shenton-Taylor, or more simply Dr CST. I specialise in applied nuclear physics, using AI to advance solutions for tricky real-world problems. I am a senior lecturer based at the University of Surrey, before that I developed an industry group exploring novel ways to detect radiation. I’ve worked on a new kitchen fridge, launched a space balloon and tried to predict the weather. I love helping others advance their career and enjoyment of science which means I talk… on podcasts, radio, festivals, stand-up gigs, pubs, village halls, and of course the lecture theatre. From 1-to-1 to live audiences of 800+, I can do serious, but prefer to mix in the funny, amazing, and adventurous too.
